With the arrival of summer, most regions across the country enter a high-temperature period, where outdoor temperatures exceed 35°C. Air compressor rooms are far hotter than ordinary working environments. In hot and humid weather, air compressors tend to operate at peak loads, resulting in higher energy consumption. Therefore, it is crucial to take preventive measures to ensure the normal operation of air compressors. What key maintenance tasks are required for air compressors in summer?

1、Inspect the drainage pipes to ensure they are in good working condition. High humidity in summer generates excessive condensed water, and the drainage system needs to handle the increased water volume.

2、Remove dirt and deposits, and clean clogged radiators to prevent the air compressor from overheating.

3、Clean or replace the air compressor filter. Clogged and dirty filters will cause pressure drop, while well-maintained clean filters can reduce energy consumption and keep the compressor operating stably at low load.

4、Guarantee proper ventilation in the air compressor room. Especially in summer, it is essential to adopt ducts and vents to discharge hot air out of the compressor room.

5、For water-cooled air compressor systems, adjust the water pressure, flow rate and water temperature inside the equipment to avoid overheating failures.

6、Check the oil level of the oil separator. If the oil level is below the scale mark, replenish lubricating oil in a timely manner to prevent high-temperature tripping. Only original lubricants shall be used for refilling, and low-quality oil is prohibited.

7、Regularly examine the air filter, oil filter and oil separator core. Blocked air filters will lead to excessive load and high temperature of the air compressor; clogged oil separator cores will cause a rise in internal pressure and overheating; blocked oil filters will result in insufficient oil injection.
